Exploratorium Sand Pattern Interactive
This is a device that uses evacuation to produce patterns in sand, at San Francisco's Exploratorium interactive science museum. The sand is collected in a frame above a pattern of holes. When a panel is removed, the sand drains out of the holes, leaving craters behind.
