This Colloquium explores how museums create engaging and powerful narratives.
Bringing together leading museum innovators and exhibition designers, the event will look at how museums can successfully use collections to tell engaging stories and the role of narrative in the creation of memorable and moving experiences which spark the imagination in a unique way.
The event will examine how narrative is central to meaning making through its ability to stimulate curiosity and imagination, encourage reflection and build on existing knowledge and experience.
Speakers include Cathy Ross, Director of Collections and Learning, Museum of London; Steph Mastoris, Head of the National Waterfront Museum in Wales; and Richard Benjamin, Head of the International Slavery Museum.

We will work together as a group to explore where we see possibility and discuss what actions we want to take as a result of being part of this event.
