Director of Marketing, National Liberty Museum
The National Liberty Museum in historic Philadelphia seeks a Director of Marketing to join our team.
The National Liberty Museum is dedicated to preserving freedom and democracy by fostering good character and understanding for all people through education.
The Museum uses exhibits of glass art and heroes from around the world that illuminate the strength and fragility of democracy and recognize the role each person plays in safeguarding our freedom.
The Director of Marketing oversees all elements of marketing and sales at The National Liberty Museum, including the strategic planning of all marketing campaigns that will result in:
- generating more walk-in and group tour visitors to the Museum;
- increased contributions through directing and implementing fundraising materials for events; annual giving; major gift campaigns; memberships
- generating gift store and e-commerce sales
- increasing facility rentals
- increasing web and other social media traffic
The Director of Marketing interacts with senior staff and Board members. This position is accountable for achieving shared goals for earned and contributed revenue and sales analysis for the Museum’s admission, gift store, facility rental as well as income raised through the Development Department
Essential Functions:
1. Collaborate with CEO, CFO and Board President on marketing strategies and timelines.
2. Implementing all marketing campaigns
3. Pre and post campaign analysis focused on indicators such as, cost of campaign, pricing, results, consumer satisfaction and product preference.
4. Tracking and evaluating all advertising media (print//direct mail/e-commerce), adjusting for future campaigns. Analyzing future opportunities and challenges based on comprehensive analysis.
5. Oversee implementation and design of regularly scheduled audience research projects.
6. Coordinate with Development team members on building sponsorship packages, opportunities and promotions.
7. Co-ordinate promotions with the PR and Education Departments, to add value and response to marketing / advertising initiatives
8. Develop/refine/upgrade website and e-mail promotions and social media
